we took a walk in Clumber Park this morning, from the Drayton Gate entrance, only to find the gate locked, so we had to park up just outside the gate itself, and walk in, which was probably just as well, because the road itself was a sheet of black ice and very slippery !
lots of ice and frost still evident, where the sun had not reached, as you can see in some of the photos, and the pond was covered in ice too,
it was cool in the shady parts but nice where the sun reached

another walk at Clumber this morning :
much the same area as our last walk, with some nice views
lots of birdlife on and around the lake too, and a few Squirrels about as well, i'd always thought of Waterhens being Black, but the ones in the photos are a mix of brown and black and some white, yellow feet and a red beak !
