Monocular moments.

#1

Post by Kleftiwallah »

Good afternoon everyone, luverly day innit?
As a result of ocular melanoma and Proton beam therapy the retina in my right eye has lifted ruining my sight with a vague blur to the bottom right and slightly fuzzy everywhere else.

I've bought myself a monocular, with tripod and mobile phone mount but here's the rub. All I see on the screen of the phone after mounting it is a central circle of picture surrounded by black. Is this normal? As checking the appropriate webpage I see a full 'page' picture. :?

Looking forward to your knowledgeable comments. Cheers, Tony.

i've never quite got to grips with my phone camera myself, so i'm not going to be much help i'm afraid,
could it be some setting on the phone that's the problem ?
i had a similar problem with my previous phone (just the phone, no attached add ons)
where all my pictures came out as a circle in a black back ground, i never did get to the bottom of it

Good evening catmando, I think the lens is seeing the black surround of the attachment. I cannot think of anything about the phone when it works perfectly on all other snaps. Cheers, Tony. ;)

Hello again everyone, I have enlarged the hole in the mobile phone mounting and there is a smidge improvement. I shall now increase the size of the hole to the maximum. :o

Cheers, Tony.
